GRAIL WAR: DAWN OF THE FINAL DAY [ DAY 14 ] ( video )
[ Madoka looks sombre today, and tired. she doesn't speak straight away, either; it takes a few moments, her head bowed and looking down at her lap, before she finally seems to find the words she's looking for. ]
... I. I should probably tell you all that Waver Velvet was killed yesterday. [ her voice quavers slightly on the word killed, but she doesn't look like she's about to cry. rather, she looks like someone who's already cried out all the tears she has. ] ... I don't really know what else I can say.
But... [ she pauses to close her eyes take a breath. when she opens her eyes again, she also rises to her feet. she looks a lot more determined, and her voice is matter-of-fact, almost dangerous. ] Just because Waver-san is gone, that doesn't mean I've given up on trying to protect everyone. So, as long as this Grail War is still going, I'm going to keep trying. Which means... that if there's anyone out there that still thinks trying to use the Grail would be a good idea, then - I'm sorry, but you're going to have to go through me first. Too many people have been hurt or died already because of this stupid cup.
[ she glances to the side distractedly, a worried frown on her face, before glancing back at the watch. ] I thought I heard something strange coming from near the centre of town, so... if anyone wants to come and find me, that's where I'll be.
[ after a moment, she turns on her heel and slips the watch into her pocket, switching it off with a click as she goes. ]

ooc: This is the last network post concerning the Grail War event, and half of the event finale! The Grail itself will be making an appearance down by the obelisk in this open log post here, although as the characters left standing will soon discover, it is a dud that is completely incapable of granting any wishes whatsoever. SO ENJOY THAT.
Starting from tomorrow, all structural damage to the city from this event will vanish, and those characters that died will revive either in the morgue, in the catacombs, or in the place where they died. Everyone else will revert to normal.
We'd like to thank everyone for taking part in this event, and hope you've all enjoyed it!
